Pembury Church

This project was to replace badly worn sections of tracery windows to the tower. The original stones were templated on site and the details drawn up on CAD, this firstly enabled us to make the radius the same on each window and then use the software to do so that most of the shaping was done using our CNC router. The individual stones were then hand finished. The replacement stone used was Sussex Sandstone from Philpots Quarry. This sand stone is very soft and requires care when working as it has hard spots in it. The fixing was carried out from a Cherry picker platform.
